Overview
VolunteerLAKE promotes volunteerism and volunteer recognition within Lake County, Florida. It provides extended and enhanced services to the community by placing volunteers and unpaid interns within County departments and offices. It encourages community involvement by heightening community awareness of Lake County Government. It provides community enrichment, economic vitality and individual achievement through self development and career discovery opportunities to volunteer and unpaid intern participants. It serves as a clearinghouse for volunteer opportunities throughout Lake County. Our Mission

Volunteering has a long and proud history in America. Our roots in service extend back to the first pioneers, when colonists had to ban together to overcome the challenges of surviving and adjusting to a new land. Since the time of the formation of our nation, Americans have volunteered to help each other in times of war, tragedy, and need.
